I’m looking to buy some new furniture. I went on Value City Furniture’s website and loved a lot of their collections! My husband and I are looking for a great living room collection [sleeper-sofa, loveseat, and chair] for a decent price. Unfortunately, Value City Furniture is only located be in the North East. We live in the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans.

We are looking for quality furniture at a reasonable price. Something just doesn’t seem right when you have to spend 2,000+ on these items–per piece. Do you know of any great furniture stores in a reasonable price range? Where do you purchase your furniture?

I’m looking to buy furniture in Boston that is a step up from IKEA’s prices/quality, but all I’ve found are stores that have nice stuff that is way too expensive, or huge chain stores that are really ugly. Any suggestions for non-modern, low to mid-range furniture stores? I’m especially looking for wooden book cases.

What do I need to consider when moving into a furnished flat?

What do I need to think about?
I’m moving into a new flat soon, it’s fully furnished, shared with a few other people (same kind of thing as a student flat, in the layout etc, only it’s not students).

All the stuff I’ve found about moving out for the first time seems to be for unfurnished places, so i dont need to buy furniture or anything.

What do I need to think about/be prepared for?
Any advice?

I have over 100 designs of mirrored covered furniture that has never been seen. I have created other designs that are at market and have never been paid. How do I avoid this mistake again. Can someone please refer me to a honest furniture maker that won’t rip me off.

I might be moving across the country soon and am not exactly sure how long I will be living in the area. I am guessing at least a year, but it could be less. I think it would be nice not to have to buy a bed, furniture and all of that once I get there. But what are the downsides to renting a furnished unit?
