Robin Hood robbed from the rich to feed the poor.

Gordon Brown taxes the hell out of the poorest and lowest paid workers (abolishing the 10p tax) so that he and his already fat-salaried MPs can have their £20,000 “second home allowances” and furnish lavish expenses claims for the affluent lifestyles.

Talking about robbing from the bloody poor to feed the rich!

His latest stroke was a clause in the agreement to take over HBOS was that the jobs in Scotland are to be protected. So if you work for Halifax in Halifax or C&G in Glouster, thats just to bad - “queue here for your P45.”

[well what did you expect with a Scots PM and a Scots Chancellor facing meltdown in a bye election] WESLEY L

No - I really believe in the Robin Hood myth/ideal but not a single word Clown Brown pompously spouts, as he stumbles from one blunder to another - stupid enough to believe in his own mythical success as a prudent/successful Chancellor. Miss Fit

Let’s be fair here. All Gordon Brown does is give money to the ‘poor’. Clearly it will never be enough for them (for 2 reasons - they will always want more & as the money pot will just never be big enough) but he definitely has been the king of making a life on (or part time supported by) benefits or tax credits a career choice (as opposed to a last resort).

The 10p tax thing is so over blown - he made a mistake, he really only meant to simplify taxes and the worst off someone on minimum wage was going to be was £7 a month than the previous year. He’s now rectified this (in albeit a ridiculous fashion) by effectively giving every basic rate taxpayer an extra £10 a month.

And incidentally how people love to refer to the ‘rich’. The people who are actually paying for everything are the working - middle classes in two working parent families who are struggling to pay for their mortgage and childcare without any benefits/tax credits from the government. Lucky

    What?

Gordon Brown got rid of the 10p Tax, which hit the low payed the hardest,

He’s Rob the Poor, the 10p Tax as nothing to do with the Credit Crunch, it was all down to Gordon Brown. Angel

What can you really say about Gordon Gormless Brown that has not already been said!
It is really the old,old story. The rich living off the backs of the poor.
It is the pensioner, one parent family and young people just starting out on married life that will bear the brunt of the tax burden. You will not find Royalty,Politicians and business people shouldering their fair share of the tax burden. Why?They employ top City of London auditors to go over their accounts to exploit any tax loopholes.
It is the old old story. It is the rich that get all the pleasures! But the poor get all the blame.
There is nothing fair in life!Gordon Brown is to blame for most of it! robert c
