and giving them a basic living environment whist in prison like without TV and air con in prison? what happens if they hate prison and having to work while in prison for along time without tv and air con everyday of the week without considering whether they had a hard upbringing or under drugs?

It costs about $31,700 a year per inmate in a state prison. I believe they should be worked enough to pay for their incarceration expenses.

What causes a lot of re-offenders is the fact that you get a black mark on your criminal record for life over just about any kind of crime you commit, to the point that even if you are released, nobody will hire you.

I think they should really look at the facts surrounding your crime before they go ahead and brand you. Otherwise, it shouldn’t surprise anyone when you can’t find work and go back to selling drugs. izanbardprince

if it helps the prisoners obtain suitable employment when they leave jail why not as it will help reduce the chances of them re-offending and returning to jail at a great expense to the honest tax payer, not all prisoner’s are eligible for this type of program

the cost of keeping people in jail in NSW Australia is around $50000 plus per year I Live In Paradise
