How can I get rid of the smell of cat urine when it was brought in by a human visitor?

Help! Someone visited my house the other night, bringing with them a terrible smell of cat urine. We didn’t want to embarrass him, so we didn’t say anything, but now our sitting room stinks of urine. He must have brought it in on his clothes, because he smelled from the front door, and we can’t find the source of the smell - the whole room just reeks, like it’s in the air.

I asked the store manager about it, and he said I’m the first to bring it to his attention. He went and got a Kleenex and rubbed a couch on the showroom and saw for himself that it comes off. I was going to get some Scotchguard and spray the couches with that to prevent stains, but I’m wondering if that will also help seal in the dye?
